About me
The Journey

Roots in Munnar
Where It All Began
I was born and raised in a small village in Munnar, nestled within the vast stretches of Tata Tea plantations. My world began in a humble “line house,” surrounded by endless greenery, misty mornings, and the quiet rhythm of nature.Life there was simple, yet deeply enriching. Until the age of 18, everything I knew—my home, my school, my dreams—was shaped by this environment. Growing up amidst tea estates taught me discipline, observation, and the ability to appreciate small things in life.
As a child, I was a blend of contrasts—a naughty girl with a curious spirit, yet a good and focused student. Even at a young age, I carried a forecasting mindset, always thinking ahead, imagining possibilities beyond what I could see around me.
Munnar didn’t just raise me—it quietly built the foundation of who I am today.
Education in Chennai – Stepping into the Real World
Moving to Chennai was my first real step into a completely new world. Coming from the calm hills of Munnar, the fast-paced metro city felt overwhelming at first.
Staying in a hostel, walking to college through heavy traffic, adjusting to new roads, new people, and a completely different lifestyle—it was all a big transition. The heat outside and the cold, air-conditioned classrooms inside reflected the contrast I was experiencing within myself.
But this phase shaped me in powerful ways. I performed well academically and, more importantly, learned the realities of city life through my college friends and experiences. I stepped into practical exposure through ODCs, internships, and placements, which gave me a glimpse of the professional world early on.
This was the phase where transformation truly began. I consciously groomed myself—my communication, my confidence, my presence.
From a small village girl, I evolved into a professional, ready to step into the industry with clarity and confidence.

Employee Phase – Shaping a Professional Woman
After completing my internship at ITC Park Sheraton, the famous property near Adyar Gate, I stepped into my first role through a campus placement at The Park Chennai. For six months, I worked as a restaurant hostess, learning the fundamentals of hospitality—the art of service, attention to detail, and handling guests with care.
From early on, my dream was to work with international hotels, and that dream came true when I joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts at Le Royal Méridien Chennai. Working there for several years gave me deep exposure to luxury standards, guest experiences, and operational excellence.
A special moment of my career was returning to the same building where I had trained, now part of IHG Hotels & Resorts. Joining IHG felt like destiny—a full-circle moment that reminded me of my journey’s beginnings. Later, I joined Hilton, further expanding my skills and understanding of global hospitality standards.
Throughout this journey, I had the privilege of working with senior professionals from the 70s and 80s generation. Their blend of strictness and humility taught me invaluable lessons about professionalism, respect, and excellence.
As a 90s kid, adapting to diverse work cultures—especially working with colleagues from across India in Chennai—was challenging. Yet, I learned a universal truth: no matter where we come from, we all work for one goal—delivering exceptional experiences for guests and upholding the brand.
From my first VIP guest interaction to my last, every moment shaped me. This phase transformed me—not just professionally, but personally—turning a small-town girl into a confident, value-driven woman ready to take on bigger challenges.
Entrepreneur – Building My Own Path
Stepping into entrepreneurship was not easy, but it was necessary. I chose to move beyond stability and create something of my own—a path where I could lead, innovate, and make an impact.
Today, I am an entrepreneur managing ventures across hospitality, technology, and digital platforms. My journey is one of constant evolution, where every challenge is a lesson and every milestone a stepping stone toward growth.
Entrepreneurship has taught me resilience at a whole new level—handling failures, managing finances, leading diverse teams, and still moving forward with a clear vision. This phase is not just a career shift; it is a transformation into a creator, a leader, and a problem solver.
Bindhu Hospitality Lab is my biggest dream brought to life—a platform where I teach not only the art of hospitality but also life transformation. Through my academy, I guide students to grow, build confidence, and create impact in their personal and professional lives.
This journey is about more than business—it’s about leaving a legacy, shaping minds, and inspiring others to evolve with purpose.

Conclusion still evolving
From Munnar to Chennai, from an employee to an entrepreneur, every phase of my life has shaped who I am today.
This journey is still evolving, with a larger vision—to create impact, inspire others, and build something meaningful that lasts beyond me.
